815 New Licenses In Uttar Pradesh Is A Boom For Wood Based Industries




The names of successful applicants, who had submitted their online application to establish new plywood, veneers, MDF, particle boards, saw mills and veneer in Uttar Pradesh, have been declared by UP Forest Department through E-lottery process on 12th December 2018. The Government received a total 13,433 verified applications for establishment new plants in 8 different categories of wood-based industries in the state. The verification and scrutiny process took around four months after which e-lottery was conducted where a total of 815 licenses for wood based industries were selected.

Century Ply Hopes For Better Performance In Third Quarter





The Century Plyboards (India) Ltd is hopeful of improved revenue and realisation in the December quarter as some of its segments benefit from a weak rupee. The falling rupee has hiked the price of imported medium density fibre (MDF) by 16-17 per cent, which will help the company fetch better realisation from the segment, said Century Ply Executive Director Mr. Keshav Bhajanka.

New Ply Wood License In UP, Successful Applicants Names Is About To Be Declared In December



The applicants, who had submitted their online applications to establish new Plywood, Veneers, MDF, Particle Boards and Saw mills units in Uttar Pradesh, the name for successful applicants is about to be declared in December 2018 itself. The Chief forest conservator, UP Government, Sri M.P Singh, reveals it in an exclusive interview with The Ply Reporter. Mr Singh said, “The delay in finalizing of the name of applicants through e-lottery or draw of lot occurred due to some proceedings and paper work along with some work left at technical end.” It is expected that the name of successful candidates will be announced by second week of December or before.

Price War Hits Margins of MDF Producers



With rise in awareness and application of Medium density fiber-board, India is consuming more MDF than ever. Thanks to designers using MDF in different applications, this category is growing at 22 percent annual growth despite of many odds. With present installed capacity of 2400 cbm per day, Indian MDF market is around Rs 1800 crore as of now. The growth in value terms in MDF segment has not been very promising though volumes have grown by 22 percent. The key players in Indian markets are Action Tesa, Green Panelmax, VIR MDF, Century Ply, ASIS MDF and Pioneer.
